How to Block Cookies of a Specific Website?

Cookies are a valuable way to improve the web browsing experience. They do important things such as remembering preferences and login information. However, other sites may use cookie to track you or to record your browsing habits. This tech-recipe describes how to block or allow cookies for one specific page or website.



Steps to Follow


  • Launch Firefox and go to the website you want to block cookies.
  • Go to Tools->Page info.

In the Page info window, switch to Permissions tab and head to Set Cookies section.





Uncheck Use Default and then choose Block. That’s it. You have blocked cookies from that website.

How To Disable Blinking Text in Firefox

Blinking text on a webpage can be extremely annoying.  Here we take a look at how to disable the annoyance in Firefox.
  • Open up Firefox and enter about:config into the address bar then hit enter.
  • If you get the void warranty message just click on “I’ll be careful, I promise!” and uncheck the box next to “Show this warning next time” if you don’t want to see it again.

  • Now in the Filter box type in or just copy and paste the text below. You will notice the value is set to true. Double click on it to toggle the value to false.

  • Double click on it to toggle the value to false.

Now we have disabled text blinking in Firefox you can restart firefox and check it.
