3. Do not configure Internet Explorer to clear the cache each time you exit the browser (Supported Netscape browsers have no equivalent setting).
4. Retain the browser's History (log of recently visited sites) for 4 days.

How To Fix Error 651 internet Browser

ince there are a few things that could cause this problem, there are also a few ways which you can use to fix it. First of all, you should check to make sure your modem is functioning normally;

1. Check all your wires and connections on your modem. If your modem seems to be working fine, check to see that you have the latest modem drivers installed. After making sure your modem driver is up-to-date, you can try to turn your computer off, followed by your router, then modem, waiting one minute after turning off each device. Then disconnect and reconnect the cables on all your devices and switch them on in reverse order starting with your modem, router and computer. This is called a power cycle and at times can fix your connection problems.
2. Since your LAN card could be the one causing this error to appear, you can try to reinstall your LAN card. But make sure to see if your LAN card is functioning well. If you find that everything is fine with your card, try disabling some features on your LAN card. To do this, you should have a manual you can refer to if you’re not sure how. One such feature on your LAN card (if present) which could cause error 651 is interrupt moderation.
3. If you are using a router to connect to the internet, it could be that your Windows auto-tuning feature has interrupted with your router function. So what you can do is to disable this feature. Open Command Prompt as Administrator (right-click it, select Run as Administrator). Then type in netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled, and exit. If it works, upgrade your router firmware and type this in Command Prompt to switch autotuning back on; netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal.
4. If the error stems from the raspppoe.sys file, then a possible method of solution is to replace the raspppoe.sys file in Windows 7 with another one from Windows Vista. Though this method should probably be a last resort because changing a system file could be dangerous, it has worked on some computers and might work for you too. What you have to do is to open the folder C\Windows\System32\Drivers and rename the original raspppoe.sys file to something like raspppoe_a.sys. You then paste a Vista version of the file into your folder.
Here are some methods you can use to fix error 651 on your Windows computer. However, if you still have difficulty and want to fix the problem quickly, I recommend you use a registry cleaner to do the job.

How to view javascript errors in firefox

Almost every web browser has some sort of error detection mechanism. And not only error detection, these web browsers can also show you the errors, which helps in rectifying them. As web browsers are the compilers and interpreter of web programming language such as javascript, html or css, any sort of error in using markups or functions must be detected before putting a website live.  And it is efficiently done by almost every web browser.
Firefox has an inbuilt Javascript error detection mechanism. It not only detects Javascript errors but also XML or CSS or other web language errors. It also allows you to view those errors in real time. You don’t need any sort of configuration in order to view those errors, as told earlier that the functionality is inbuilt, you can view those errors directly from within the firefox console.

Here are 2 methods to view javascript errors in firefox error console
  1. Open firefox –> From “Tools” menu –> Select “Error Console”

    How to fix Network & Internet connection problems in Windows 7

    If you find that your internet connection, in Windows 7 or Vista, has suddenly stopped working or that you are facing certain Network problems, here are a few trouble-shooting steps you may want to try:
    1. IPConfig is a tool built into Windows,that displays all current TCP/IP network configuration values and refreshes Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol DHCP and Domain Name System DNS settings. You can access this tool via the command line. If you have a bad IP address, then renewing your IP address this way may help solve your internet problems.

    Type cmd in start search and press Ctrl-Shift-Enter. If you wish, just out of curiosity, you may type ipconfig and hit Enter, to view the status of the computer’s Internet Protocol or IP address.
    Type ipconfig /release to let go of the current IP address.
    Next type ipconfig /renew to obtain a new IP address.
    If you get an error Message When You Run the “Ipconfig /Renew” Command see KB810606.
    If you recurrently face this problem, then you can have it renewed on every start-up, by creating the following .bat file and placing it in your startup folder.
    Open notepad and type:
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew

    Save it as, say, iprenew.bat file.
    2. Frequently, internet connection problems can also be traced to a corrupted DNS cache. Resetting or Flushing this cache is an easy fix to many of these problems. This is how to clear the DNS cache in Windows 7 or Vista.

    Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. Right click on it and ‘Run As Administrator’. Type the following and hit enter:
    ipconfig /flushdns
    You should be able to see a confirmation dialog window:
    Windows IP Configuration. Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.
    Next type ipconfig /registerdns and hit Enter.
    This registers any DNS records that you or some programs may have recorded in your Hosts file.
    Just in case you are interested, to view the complete syntax for this command type ipconfig /help and hit Enter!
    3. The Network & Internet Diagnostic & Repair Tool in Windows 7 & Vista will help you identify the potential issues preventing network connectivity, and it automatically takes appropriate steps toward correcting them. If a computer on the network loses Internet connectivity, you can graphically see which connection is down and then use Network Diagnostics to help determine the cause of the problem and find possible solutions.

     To access it, open Control Panel > Network & Sharing Center. In the lower part, click on Troubleshoot Problems. From the windows which opens, you can select Internet Connections or any other issue you want to troubleshoot and repair.

    Fix Firefox 3 Without Reinstalling

    My primary browser is Mozilla Firefox v3.0.1. The reason I champion that particular browser over others is because it has the most plugins available. If there is anything on the internet that can be done in a browser, chances are it will happen in Firefox first.
    Plugins, while a blessing, can also be a curse. As cool as it is that you have tons of nifty add-ons to choose from, some of these add-ons may screw up your browser. How the screw-up occurs could be in any number of ways, but you know when you’re browser is screwed up.
    Firefox browser problems don’t happen often, but when they do you can fix just about any of them by creating a new profile.

    Here’s how:
    Close the browser first.
    Do a run dialog and type firefox -P, then click OK.

     This is what you will see by default:

    If you want to "start over", delete the profile and all files associated with it. Note: You will lose all your bookmarks and browser settings when you do this. (For bookmarks you can retrieve them if you have Foxmarks installed.) Add-ons will remain installed.
    When you create a brand new profile, Firefox will treat it as if you’ve just installed the browser for the first time.
    If you’re not sure whether you want to delete the old profile, just create a new one. Firefox allows multiple profiles to be installed. From there you can troubleshoot to see if it fixed any issues you may have present.
    For the add-ons present, they will "see" it also as a new installation so you can do additional troubleshooting that way.

    Fix a Slow Internet Connection

    A slow Internet connection can be extremely frustrating when you are working online. You can contact a computer technician, but they will most likely charge you a large amount of money to just look at your computer. To avoid repair costs, there are some simple tricks you can try on your own to fix a slow Internet connection.

    Run a virus scan on your computer. If your virus and spyware protection are up-to-date, the scan will detect any offenders and remove them from your computer.

    Unplug your modem and wait a minute. Many times resetting a modem will fix the slow Internet connection.

    Perform a system restore on your computer. This allows you to undo any harmful changes that you have made to your computer that could be causing the slower Internet.

    Free up space on your hard drive. Routinely removing temporary Internet files and programs that you no longer use will help keep your computer running efficiently.

    Test your connection. Many Internet providers will allow you to use their site to check to make sure that there is not a problem with your connection.

    How to Fix 404 Page Not Found Error

    The dreaded 404 message has been around for years. It comes in many flavors and is displayed differently depending on what browser you are

    using such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.  When you are browsing the Internet you are going to different pages in your browser.  Each page you visit,  like www.google.com, for example is accessing some big computer called a web server that is in some big data center on this planet.  When you attempt to access a web page that does not exist on that server, the server is designed to give a standard response that lets you and your browser know that the page does not exist.  That is the 404 error.  It does not mean that your computer is broken by any means. It just means that you are trying to get to a page that can not be found on that server.  This means carefully look at the address you typed and make sure you did not accidentally mistype something.  Or if you are using an old bookmark from a page that you may have liked a long time ago, then its very possible that the owner of the website may have taken that page down because he/she has updated their content.
    Nowadays many websites (especially larger websites like amazon.com or google.com) tend to customize their 404 pages by giving you something a bit more descriptive to let you know why are getting the 404 message in the first place. For example at www.boxaid.com if you accidentally go to a page that no longer exists because we have updated our content, you will get a message telling you the page is not there and you will be automatically redirected to the home page in 3 seconds.  Go ahead and try it if you like.  Here is a page that does not exist on our web server, www.boxaid.com/idontexist.html, go ahead and click it to see what happens. .  Here are some other versions of the 404 error message below:
    * “404 Error”
    * “Page cannot be displayed”
    * “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage”
    * “404: Not Found”
    * “The page cannot be found”
    * “Error 404: NOT FOUND”
    * “HTTP 404 – File not found”
    * “Not Found”
    Resolution-Here are some other things to try when you get a 404 error
    1. Retry the web page by clicking the refresh/reload button or trying the URL from the address bar again. The 404 Not Found error has been known to appear on occasion even if there is no real issue so a simple refresh will often load the page you were looking for.
    2. Check for errors in the URL. Often times the 404 Not Found error appears because the URL was typed wrong or the link that was clicked on points to the wrong URL.
    3. Move up one directory level at a time in the URL until you find something. For example, if www.w.com/a/b/c.htm gave you the 404 Not Found error, move up to www.w.com/a/b/. If you get nothing here, move up to www.w.com/a/. This should lead you toward what you’re looking for or at least confirm that it’s no longer available.

    How to Solve the Firefox 4 Sync Error

    Sometime after upgrading to Firefox 4, the built in sync function stopped working, throwing up the "Firefox encountered an error while syncing..."

    To solve this, login to the Mozilla Account services with your Sync username and password, then choose "Clear Your Sync Data" from the left hand menu. This will clear all your stored sync data on the Mozilla servers.

    Now try syncing Firefox again by going to the main menu and choosing Synch Now. All should work well now.

    How To Solve Error 651 in Web browsers

                                   It can easily see that there are a lot of Windows users have been bugged by this error (this post has occupied one third of the total visits of my blog), and I hope this article can help to solve your problem. But please be aware though, all the solutions were gathered from internet, such as article, forum etc., and I can’t guarantee that they will work for you. If they did, you are always welcomed to reply and let people know what have you done to solve your problem. Else, I am sorry that I couldn’t help you, perhaps you can ask for help from your ISP. I have updated several more possible solutions based on some readers’ replies.

               You try to initiate the broadband dialer in Windows 7 and only found that it doesn’t work and returned with an error 651: Your modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error. And you had tried to restart your PC, your router, your modem etc. and the problem doesn’t go away. And eventually you want to bang your head to the wall because you can’t solve the problem, nor you can find solution online because you are not able to get online!

                 Same thing happened to me last few days which caused the update of the blog delayed. During some normal surfing, I found out that the connection was hang, thus I just disconnect the internet connection and try to reconnect. But hey, I can’t connect back anymore, with the error 651 while everything (hardware, Windows etc.) were ok. So for a few days, I can’t update my blog and I was trying to find solution for it in the office (don’t tell the boss, won’t ya?).

    How to Fix Error 678 and 769

    Initially, before trying to fix something in the system, the computer's network cable should be checked. In some cases, the computer experiences error 678 and error 769 because the program needs to connect to the internet to function properly. If the network cable is not properly plugged in then the computer cannot provide the application with the necessary online support. Regardless of the type of internet connection used (Dial-UP or LAN), the computer needs to be properly connected to support all internet data and settings needed by several programs. It might also be a good idea to check whether the right type of cable is used.

    If the problem still persists then it's now time to reinstall the computer's modem drivers. Reinstallation should help fix any corrupted files or missing components. To re-install the computer's modem drivers, go to Start and then select Control Panel. Choose Device Manager and find the network adapter drivers. Right click on the driver and then choose Uninstall Driver. The computer should be restarted before re-installation is completed. If this procedure does not work then cleaning the computer's registry would be the next best solution.
    When the computer experiences problems or errors, it's likely the components in the computer's registry settings are corrupted. Ther egistry contains all the settings, files and information used in the computer thus cleaning it would help get rid of any faulty file or setting. In order to clean a computer registry, a PC registry program should be used. There are many registry cleaner applications available online so finding the appropriate program should be no problem. However, it's important to note that only programs from reliable sources should be used. More importantly, the program should have good reviews and ratings. Some programs may need to be reinstalled when the registry is cleaned.

    How To Fix a 500 Internal Server Error

    The 500 Internal Server Error is a server-side error, meaning the problem is not with your computer or Internet connection but instead is a problem with the web site's server.
    Even though the issue is not yours to fix, there are some things you can try:
    1. Reload the web page. You can do that by clicking the refresh/reload button, pressing F5, or trying the URL from the address bar again.

      Even though the 500 Internal Server Error is reporting a general error on the web site's servers and not your computer, the server error may only be temporary. Trying the page again will often be successful.

      Note: If the 500 Internal Server Error message appears during the checkout process at an online merchant, be aware that duplicate attempts to checkout may end up creating multiple orders - and multiple charges! Most merchants have automatic protections from these kinds of actions but it's still something to keep in mind.
    2. Come back later. The 500 Internal Server Error message is one of the most common HTTP error message seen when checking out during an online purchase so sales are often disrupted. This is usually a great incentive to resolve the issue very quickly.
    3. Contact the webmaster. Chances are good that the website administrators already know about the 500 error but if you suspect they don't, you can always try to contact the website directly.

      The best way to find contact information for a website is through a WHOIS search, using the domain name (i.e. facebook.com) as your search term. If that doesn't produce an email address, the webmaster of most Internet sites can be reached via email at webmaster@website.com, replacing website.com with the actual website name.
