How to Fix Error 678 and 769

Initially, before trying to fix something in the system, the computer's network cable should be checked. In some cases, the computer experiences error 678 and error 769 because the program needs to connect to the internet to function properly. If the network cable is not properly plugged in then the computer cannot provide the application with the necessary online support. Regardless of the type of internet connection used (Dial-UP or LAN), the computer needs to be properly connected to support all internet data and settings needed by several programs. It might also be a good idea to check whether the right type of cable is used.

If the problem still persists then it's now time to reinstall the computer's modem drivers. Reinstallation should help fix any corrupted files or missing components. To re-install the computer's modem drivers, go to Start and then select Control Panel. Choose Device Manager and find the network adapter drivers. Right click on the driver and then choose Uninstall Driver. The computer should be restarted before re-installation is completed. If this procedure does not work then cleaning the computer's registry would be the next best solution.
When the computer experiences problems or errors, it's likely the components in the computer's registry settings are corrupted. Ther egistry contains all the settings, files and information used in the computer thus cleaning it would help get rid of any faulty file or setting. In order to clean a computer registry, a PC registry program should be used. There are many registry cleaner applications available online so finding the appropriate program should be no problem. However, it's important to note that only programs from reliable sources should be used. More importantly, the program should have good reviews and ratings. Some programs may need to be reinstalled when the registry is cleaned.
